Arthrosis

Arthrosis the most frequent joint disease worldwide a painful arthropathy that eventually leads to complete joint immobility.

There are a number of factors involved in the development of this degenerative disease. Apart from the natural ageing process (with corresponding wear), causal factors primarily include joint deformation, overload and previous surgical interventions, although gender and genetic predisposition play a role as well.

A multitude of methods and techniques are used for treating arthrosis, including conventional approaches (such as physiotherapy), pain-relieving drugs and injections and alternative therapies such as magnetotherapy. While all of these measures can bring relief, it must be said that the scientific proof of effectiveness is still outstanding for some of them. Therefore, the best prevention is the early recognition and treatment of injuries such as cruciate ligament ruptures, torn cartilages and meniscal injuries. For the same reason, a correction of axial misalignments (in-knees and out-knees) is indicated.

In addition to conservative or surgical therapy, we prescribeArthroprotect as a supporting measure.Arthroprotect is a cartilage-regenerating orthomolecular product that has established itself as an important element of our therapeutic concept by now. Designed in collaboration with a chemical engineer of the Melasan Company and based on a recipe developed by Dr. Fass, this orthomolecular substance contains endogenous, purely natural substances that counteract cartilage disintegration and even regenerate affected cartilaginous tissue.

If no therapy is sufficiently helpful, artificial joints i.e. knee prostheses so far represent often the last option available to patients suffering from strong pain.
